Affiliate Disclosure

This page explains, in plain terms, where the money comes from. The 39 free walking tours listed across GuruWalk and freetour.com all belong to independent local guides, and every reservation happens on the guide's own page on one of those two platforms, never here. This site sells nothing, operates nothing and charges nothing. What follows is the single revenue stream, and the limits of what it can influence.

The One Revenue Stream

One income stream exists: affiliate commission from walking tours. When a visitor reserves a free spot through a link here, on the guide's GuruWalk page or on a freetour.com listing, the platform pays this site a commission. The walker pays nothing extra. Each walk is free, pay what you want, and whatever you hand over goes as your own chosen contribution to the guide.

That commission is the whole of the revenue. The site earns affiliate commission from GuruWalk and freetour.com referrals, and you pay nothing extra. A walk appears here because it exists on GuruWalk or freetour.com and can be reserved there. The referral links on this site go to GuruWalk and freetour.com, and to no other platform.

Reserving a walk costs the visitor nothing here: no booking fee, no service charge, no subscription. You claim a free spot on the guide's own page on GuruWalk or on freetour.com, and the walk itself is free, pay what you want. Reserving a walk costs nothing here, GuruWalk or freetour.com may pay this site a commission, and the price to the walker does not change. It never adds to what a walker contributes.

What The Commission Cannot Buy

This site runs no tour, employs no guide and takes no payment from visitors. The walks belong to independent local guides, published on GuruWalk or freetour.com, free to reserve, with the contribution left entirely to the walker's own judgement; GuruWalk's listing pages show a suggested guideline range, and freetour.com says you pay what the walk was worth. When a reservation comes through a link here, the platform may pay this site a commission. The walk costs the walker the same either way.

The same rule holds across the rest of the site. A free-entry claim carries its condition in the same breath: the Museum of Prague main building at Florenc is free every open day, the National Museum is free only on its published free days, and the National Gallery's permanent exhibitions are free on 28 October and 17 November 2026, with under 16s always free. Where something is ticketed, the page says so plainly. Nothing is upgraded to catch a click.

What Money Cannot Change

Where The Numbers Come From

The ratings on this site are the platforms' published numbers, not scores assigned here. GuruWalk walks rate out of 5 and freetour.com walks rate out of 10, and neither scale is ever converted into the other. A 4.9 on GuruWalk and a 9.2 on freetour.com therefore sit side by side, each labelled with its platform, so the numbers stay honest even when they look unlike each other.

The same discipline applies to entry rules. Prague's free-entry regimes are separate and never merged: the castle grounds are free daily while the Main circuit buildings are ticketed, the Prague City Tourism towers have no free day, the Museum of Prague's main building is free every open day, and the National Museum opens free only on dates it publishes itself. Where a sight is ticketed, the page says ticketed. Nothing is generalised into a rule that no operator has made.

Prague Does Not Need This Site

Every free thing described here is free whether or not this site exists. The castle grounds and courtyards cost nothing to enter after the security check, Charles Bridge costs nothing to walk, and the Astronomical Clock's hourly show can be watched from Old Town Square without a ticket. Vyšehrad's ramparts and Petřín Hill are free too. The site points at these places. It does not price them, run them or gate them.

The same goes for the walks. Each of the 39 free walking tours listed here, across GuruWalk and freetour.com, can be reserved directly on its platform without passing through this site at all. Every walk on this site can be reserved directly on GuruWalk or freetour.com, free, and you pay what you want at the end. This site is a signpost, not a stop.
